WTF is the metaverse?

It’s a valid question—and it can only be answered by strapping yourself in to a flying car driven by Keke Palmer. That’s the idea behind Are We There Yet?, a first-of-its-kind talk show series from Meta that features road trip-style chats with metaverse experts.

My partner Blas Madera and I led the second episode of the series, which is all about self-expression. It features Don Allen Stevenson III, a digital artist and educator whose creations span augmented and virtual realities.

I helped shape Don’s story and defined the overall tone of the show, wrote scripts, directed Keke on-set for additional pieces of social content, and created posters, trailers, cut-downs, and a soon-to-launch Horizon Worlds tie-in experience. Blas and I also designed an expressive universe for the episode’s journey.
